Your Town Board

The Chairman and 2 Supervisors make up the Town of Port Washington Town Board.  The Board is responsible for establishing policies for the Town. The Town Board meets the first Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall, located at 3715 Highland Drive. All residents are encouraged to attend meetings. If there are questions regarding agenda items or meeting information, you may call the Town Hall at 262-284-5235 or email the Chairman. The Town Board is responsible for establishing an annual Town tax rate, approving an annual budget, five-year capital improvement plan, and establishing the general policy direction of the Town. Mike was elected as Chairman in April 2021, and has served as a Town Supervisor since 2011.Mike is a certified WI Property Tax Assessment Board of Review Member, a member of the Port Washington Fire Department since 1993, is co-owner of RE/MAX Realty, has served as president of the Ozaukee Realtors Association. In his spare time, Mike enjoys spending time with his family, serving on the Board of the Port Washington Historical Society, and restoring old (pre-war) Chevys.  He is committed to serving the community where he has lived and worked all his life and enjoys his role as the Town's "unofficial historian."

Gary Schlenvogt

Gary Schlenvogt was elected to his first Town Supervisor term in April 2017.  Having spent most of his life in the Town of Port Washington, he is happy to support his "hometown" community by serving on the Board.  Previously he was an Election Inspector with Town of Port.  Gary's background is in construction and building.  He and his wife, Doris, have three grown children.

Greg was appointed as Supervisor in May 2020 due to a vacancy on the town board, and in April 2021 was elected as Town Supervisor.  Greg is a lifelong resident of the town, he graduated from PWHS and then from MATC with a degree in carpentry. Greg has successfully run Welton Builders for 30 years, which specializes in construction and property development.  Greg served as an alternate for the Plan Commission. Greg and his wife have four children. He has done a lot of work in construction and property development.
