The Register of Deeds Office records any and all documents that pertain to land within the county, they also file, index and create certified copies of all birth, marriage and death records that occur within the county. If you would like to order a vital record please print out the designated form on the forms page and send it along with a check or money order to the office. We process vital record request the day we receive the request. At this time we accept check, cash or money order, sorry we do not yet accept credit or debit cards.

In June of 2001, the Register of Deeds office started optical imaging of all documents. This allows all of the documents from that point on accessible via the internet. Currently we are working on back scanning historical documents, making even more available over the net. This advancement will make it possible for our customers to get the information they need while at their computers at home. It is our goal to provide efficient and friendly service to our customers from in and out of Crawford County.
