About the Register of  Deeds Office

In March 1999 Dodge County implemented a computerized document imaging and tracting system.  Since 1999 our office has been working on converting paper and microfilmed real estate documents from 1877 thru 1998 to digital images.  Sometime in 2013 we will be completing that conversion.  In March 2007 a new grantor/grantee and tracting index was installed, which enabled us to offer searching via the internet in 2008.  In December 2011, Dodge County recorded it's first electronically submitted documents.

The staff in the office consists of 3 full time employees and 1 part time.  Documents are recorded the same day they are received and returned in 2 days.  Vital records requests are filled the same day they are received if possible.
