Past Register of Deeds - Chippewa County - Marge Geissler (1995 - 2020)
Marge Geissler has been Register of Deeds for Chippewa County since 1995 and employed with Chippewa County since 1987. Marge served as the State President of the Wisconsin Register of Deeds Association (WRDA) and served on the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Land Information Association. She currently serves on the WRDA Board of Directors, Wisconsin Counties Personnel Steering Committee and Chippewa County Land Information Council. Over the years she has served as chair of District 5, chair of the Technology, Legislative, By-Laws, Seminar, Handbook. WCA, WLIA, WCCO and Vital Records Committees and was appointed by the governor to serve on the Vitals Online Committee and Wisconsin Electronic
Recording Council. Marge has received the President's Award for Outstanding Service from WRDA and Distinguished Service Awards from WLIA. She received an Associate Degree in Computer Operations and graduated from the University of Wisconsin Certified Public Managers Program. She also attained her Certificate of Professional Development and Professional Managers Essentials. Marge is a member of the Wisconsin County Constitutional Officers Association, Wisconsin Register of Deeds Association, Wisconsin Land Information Association, Realtors Association of Northwestern Wisconsin and Property Records Industry Association. She is a lifelong resident of Chippewa County, has served on several boards and has been active in many community organizations. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family & friends as well as traveling.
