PROF. JOSEPH HOPKINS

Past Register of Deeds - Kenosha County - Louise I Principe (1994 - 2012)

Louise I. Principe was appointed to the position of Register of Deeds by Governor Tommy G. Thompson January 13, 1994. Prior to her appointment as Register of Deeds, she was a member of the Kenosha County Board from 1989 to 1994. As a county board supervisor she served on various committees and became the first woman Chairman of the Finance Committee.

She retains her Real Estate Brokers license, is a member of the Wisconsin Land Information Association, the Wisconsin Register of Deeds Association and National Association of County Recorders. She is a member of the Wisconsin County Association’s Personnel Steering Committee, a former member of Kenosha County Elderreach advisory committee. She has  

completed her Certificate of Professional Development and is working to obtain her Certificate in Public Management Essentials.

Louise is a livelong resident of Kenosha County. She is married to Michael W. Principe, president of M. Principe Plumbing. They have raised two daughters who are married.  They are blessed with three granddaughters and one grandson.

Louise is an active member of St Mary's Catholic Church, is a member of many community organizations and committees. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, serving the public, shopping for antiques, and cooking.
