Gary Schindler was appointed Register of Deeds of Waushara County by Governor Thompson in 1998 and has been elected ever since. Prior to serving as Register of Deeds, he worked part time as the Waushara County Surveyor and also operated his own private surveying company. Gary has found that his background in survey and real estate work has brought benefits to the office of Register of Deeds and to his role as the county Land Information Officer. Gary attended college at Stevens Point and has lived in Waushara County since 1977. He is married and has two daughters. Gary is active in the Rotary Club, the Republican Party, and served as president of the Wautoma Area School District School Board for four years. Gary enjoys playing duplicate bridge, walking and hiking.
