Michael Sydow has been Register of Deeds of Marathon County since 1991. Prior to being elected, he worked in the Marathon County Surveyor’s Department for 11 years and was promoted to Deputy Surveyor. Mike graduated from Wausau East High School and attended UW-Marathon Campus and North-Central Technical College. He and his wife Lynne, who is an occupational therapist, have two children. Mike is past president of the Wisconsin Register of Deeds Association and the Wisconsin County Constitutional Officers. Mike and his wife are active in Badger State Games Figure Skating and won the "Spirit of the Games Award" in 2002. Mike is an avid Packer fan and enjoys his cottage by the lake in the Northwoods.
