Walworth County - Michele Jacobs
Michele was elected as Walworth County Register of Deeds in November 2020 and took office on January 4, 2021. Prior to taking office, Michele served the citizens of Walworth County through her work in the Clerk of Court’s office and the office of Walworth County Corporation Counsel. She earned an Associate Degree in Leadership Development through Gateway Technical College.In her free time, Michele enjoys spending time with her family. She is a board member for the Delavan Historical Society and enjoys participating in community events throughout Walworth County.

About the Register of Deeds Office
Real estate records are maintained in a grantor/grantee indexing system which begins in 1839. A computer index is available beginning in 1969 as well as document images back to 1935. In 2004 a tract index was created. Birth, death & marriage records for events that occurred in Walworth are maintained. Birth records begin in 1856, death records begin in 1873 & marriages begin in 1839. Ownership & description information is maintained for over 65,000 tax parcels.
